Everyone who operates earthmoving equipment and other machinery knows time is money.
Getting the job done quickly and efficiently makes a lot of sense if you want to improve the profitability of your contracting business.
The first National Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo in 2016 was a huge success with more than 30,000 people attending the three-day event. Top operators from all over the Australia and New Zealand fought hard for big cash prizes and the honour of being recognised as the country’s best.
Even greater crowds are expected in April as the number of exhibitors as increased significantly.
Major industry earthmoving brands Takeuchi and Terex will be sponsoring the Operators’ Challenge with more cash prizes, great trophies and of course, the bragging rights as the country’s best machine operator.
Over the three days of the show there will be two different machine challenges with a total of $16,000 up for grabs and a smart trophy for the champion operator.
Daily competition winners will take away $1,000 each and qualify for the finals on the Sunday to compete for the huge prize of $5,000.00 and the trophy as 2017 Champion.
Spectators can check out competitors’ progress on a scoreboard in the arena, while operators have in-cabin microphones so they can let everyone know how they are going, or describe what they are doing.
Any competent machinery operator may enter as long as they are over 18 years of age and complies with the Challenge terms and conditions.
This free, family-friendly event is being held from Friday, April 21st to Sunday April 23rd 2017 in the grounds of the Penrith Panthers Club. For more information, visit www.dieseldirtandturf.com.au.
